We are working with a local, public sector company to recruit an Emergency Out of Hours Call Handler. This is a temporary, ongoing position working the following hours:
Monday to Thursday: 5:00pm - Midnight
Friday: 4:30pm - Midnight
Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pm and 5:00pm - Midnight
Sunday: 8:00am - 5:00pm and 5:00pm - Midnight
The Main Purpose of the Emergency Out of Hours Call Handler is:
The purpose of this role is to answer all calls using a strength-based approach and help provide high-quality, clear, and concise information. You will deal with sensitive information and at times, anxious callers. You will be confident in handling difficult conversations with professionals and the public.
The Emergency Out of Hours Call Handler Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- You will be responsible for answering calls using a strength-based approach, and always ensure you ask the appropriate questions
- Ensuring that the practitioners receive high-quality, clear, and concise information from the outset
- Inputting sensitive information into the system during calls
- All related administration, including reports
- Other support task as required
