This international law firm has over 20 global offices delivering a full range of legal services, especially those of a complex, high-profile and multi-jurisdictional nature. Their core sectors are aviation, insurance and reinsurance, international trade and energy and shipping.

Their London Finance Department is looking to hire a Forensic Accountant to join our Forensic Accounting Practice. This in-house role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with lawyers and gain an understanding of their work, their objectives and their pressures. A notably feature of our department’s work is the opportunity to experience a very wide range of matters, in terms of size, sector, jurisdiction and type of law.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with lawyers to gather information and evidence relevant to the matter.
  • Derive relevant financial information from letters of claim, schedules of loss, witness statements, financial statements, expert reports, and other legal and financial documents.
  • Desktop research of businesses and individuals.
  • Analyse and explain financial information to a non-financial audience.
  • Critique opponent’s expert accounting reports.
  • Present results in the form of memos, reports and/or schedules, as appropriate.

Candidate Profile

  • Forensic accounting experience
