Part-Qualified Trainee Accountant - Study Support for ACA, Guildford, £24,000 - £27,000

About the Role:

As a Part-Qualified Trainee Accountant, you will continue to build on your existing skills while gaining new experience in audit, accounts, and tax. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing bookkeeping and VAT returns for a variety of clients
  • Assisting with monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Supporting the preparation of year-end statutory accounts
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
  • Participating in audit fieldwork, including planning and completion
  • Working with modern cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks

You will benefit from structured ACA training and full support from the management team as you continue your professional development.

About You:

You will be a confident and motivated individual who is:

  • AAT qualified (or nearly qualified) with approximately 12 months’ experience in an accountancy practice
  • Ready to study for the ACA qualification
  • Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
  • Comfortable using cloud-based software and keen to embrace new technology
  • Personable and able to demonstrate interpersonal skills, ideally through past client contact, part-time work, volunteering, or activities that required confident communication
  • Living within a reasonable commute of Guildford, with access to your own transport preferred
