This well-established organisation based in central Guildford are looking for a part time Financial Controller to join their team. You will be joining a reputable organisation that has various sites across Surrey and you will be based in the offices in Guildford. You will be working 20 hours a week with flexibility in how you work these hours but this has to be over 4 or 5 days a week. You will be given a full handover in this role and have full autonomy in the position. A brilliant opportunity for an experienced individual who has experience in an SME and is looking for a reduced hours role.

Part Time Financial Controller - About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Managing Director and will have full responsibility for the finance function. You will be required to liaise with other sites with occasional visits required and you must be in the office on a daily basis.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Full preparation and production of the monthly management accounts
  • Full balance sheet analysis and reconciliation for the MD
  • Year-end accounts and liasion with the accountants in respect of corporation tax
  • Monthly payroll for 3 companies
  • Handling the AP and AR functions and working closely with existing suppliers
  • Bank posting and reconciliations
  • Supporting with general office duties including HR and facilities management
  • Overseeing support staff’s work in Guildford and other offices

The successful Part Time Financial Controller will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Experience of working in an SME or a sole charge role will be beneficial
  • Working knowledge of Sage
  • Payroll exposure
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
