KeyResponsibilities:
- Performmonthlyandquarterlybookkeepingusingavarietyofaccountingsoftware,fromincompleteandcompleterecords.
- PrepareVATreturnsonamonthlyandquarterlybasis.
- Reconcilesalesandpurchaseledgersonamonthlyandquarterlybasisusingdifferentaccountingsoftwarepackages.
- Assistinthepreparationofyear-endaccountsforsoletraders,partnerships,andlimitedcompanies.
- Supportthepreparationofcorporationtaxreturns.
- Assistinpreparingpersonalandpartnershiptaxreturns.
- Draftclientcorrespondence,includinglettersandemails.
- Attendclientmeetingsasrequiredtoprovideassistanceandsupport.
- LiaisewithHMRConbehalfofclientsforvariousmatters.
- Maintainhighlevelsofcustomerserviceandprofessionalismatalltimes.
ExperienceandSkillsRequirements:
- Eitherpart-qualifiedAAT,oradegreeinAccounting,Business,Finance,orarelatedfield.
- Previousworkexperienceinfinance(practiceorindustry)isanadvantagebutnotessential.
- Strongcommunicationskills,bothwrittenandverbal.
- Self-motivatedwiththeabilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofateam.
- Strongacademicbackgroundwithadesiretolearnanddevelopacareerinaccounting.
- Abilitytoworkefficientlytotightdeadlines.
- ComputerliteratewithproficiencyinWord,Excel,andOutlook.
- FamiliaritywithaccountingsoftwaresuchasSage,Xero,orQuickBooksisadvantageousbutnotessential.
