Bookkeeper / Finance Executive

Chilworth, Surrey | £30,000 – £36,000 (DOE) | Full-time | Hybrid Working

Our client is a fast-growing accountancy firm based in Chilworth, Surrey, providing comprehensive accounting and tax services to local businesses. We’re a close-knit team of professionals who value teamwork, quality service, and a healthy work-life balance.

We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Finance Executive to join the team and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records while supporting a wide range of client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records (purchases, sales, receipts, and payments)
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable (invoicing, payments, chasing debts)
  • Process payroll with accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare financial reports and client statements
  • Assist with tax preparation, including VAT returns and filings
  • Use software such as Xero, Dext, and Bright Manager to manage records
  • Communicate with clients on financial queries and updates

About You

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organised with good time-management skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, discreet, and client-focused
