IMC Group is proud to be partnering with an innovative clinical laboratory at the forefront of molecular diagnostics. We’re seeking a Senior Clinical Scientist (Molecular) to lead the setup of a cutting-edge molecular profiling unit, with a strong emphasis on liquid biopsy technologies including NGS and ddPCR.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and build a new clinical molecular profiling team

· Set up and manage a state-of-the-art molecular diagnostics lab

· Oversee and participate in the validation, implementation, and delivery of complex molecular assays (DNA/RNA profiling, methylation, cfDNA, and CTCs)

· Ensure compliance with ISO15189:2022 and liaise with regulatory bodies (UKAS, MHRA, HTA, CLIA)

· Collaborate cross-functionally, especially with R&D teams, for assay development and transfer

· Analyse complex NGS data, generate reports, and maintain strong client relationships

· Drive lab performance improvements, manage documentation, quality control, and data systems

Experience & Qualifications:

· PhD in a biomedical science field, with at least 3 years’ postdoctoral or equivalent industry experience

· HCPC registration as a Clinical or Biomedical Scientist in a genomic discipline

· Expert-level hands-on experience with NGS, ddPCR, and molecular profiling in a clinical setting

· Proven leadership experience in a scientific team or lab environment

· In-depth understanding of quality management systems and clinical regulatory standards

· Strong communication skills with commercial awareness and a collaborative mindset
