Sales Account Manager

Salary: £22,000 - £27,000

My client in Guildford is searching for an energetic, ambitious, and customer-focused Internal Account Manager to join the sales team. If you’re passionate about building lasting relationships, driving customer success, and growing accounts from within, this role is for you!

Responsibilities

Grow Existing Customer Accounts - Nurture, develop, and build relationships with our valued customers to maximise their potential

Be a Trusted Advisor - Understand customer needs and challenges, proactively recommending solutions from our innovative product portfolio

Drive Revenue Growth - Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to help customers get the most out of our product portfolio, taking a strategic approach to account growth

Account Management - Manage a portfolio of reseller, installer, and system integrator accounts with regular check in calls, virtual meetings, and occasional visits

Analyse & Act on Data - Regularly review sales metrics, buying patterns, and customer feedback using Excel / Google Sheets and internal dashboards to inform your approach and optimise account performance.

Experience and skillset

Great People Skills - You’re confident, approachable, and great at understanding and influencing a variety of customer personalities. You know how to read a room and influence outcomes with authenticity and ease.

Motivation & Ambition - You’re proactive, results-driven, and always looking for ways to grow your customer base. Although previous account management and sales experience is a bonus, its your attitude, energy, and a willingness to learn that’ll really set you apart.

Data-Driven Mindset - Confident in using Excel for tracking, reporting, and analysing customer and sales data. You can confidently track, report, and draw insights from customer and sales data with a keen eye for detail.

Exceptional Organisation & Ownership - You confidently manage a busy pipeline, thrive in a fast paced environment, and juggling multiple priorities, all while delivering consistent results and maintaining a high standard of service across all accounts
