The RoleAs an Electronic Repair Technician, you’ll work within a skilled test and repair team, carrying out diagnostics, refurbishment, and testing on a variety of electronic, electrical, and mechanical assemblies. Every day will bring new technical challenges, opportunities to learn, and the satisfaction of seeing your work make a tangible difference.
What You’ll Be DoingDiagnosing, repairing, and testing a wide range of electronic systems
Performing fault-finding and reverse engineering to component level
Using advanced test equipment and diagnostic software
Ensuring high-quality standards and accurate repair documentation
Contributing to continuous improvement and developing test procedures
Supporting team knowledge sharing and upholding health & safety best practice
Skilled in soldering (surface mount & through-hole); IPC-610 / IPC-7711/21 certification preferred
Confident using electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools
Comfortable with crimping, mechanical assembly, and torque tightening
Able to read technical drawings and apply practical problem-solving
Team-oriented, quality-driven, and calm under pressure
Desirable: Experience in rail, defence, or other high-reliability sectors.
