Are you looking for a role where your technical skills make a real impact?
We have an excellent opportunity for a CAD Technician to join a leading EPC Engineering Team delivering complex projects from concept through to commissioning.


About the Organisation

This is a well-established & fast growing Engineering Business with a strong reputation for delivering technically challenging projects across multiple sites.

The engineering function is central to its success, combining mechanical and process engineering principles with practical problem-solving to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

You will work closely with project managers and engineers, gaining exposure to design, construction and commissioning activities while contributing to projects that make a lasting difference.


The CAD Technician Role

You will be involved in projects from planning through to handover, producing and managing drawings, supporting project documentation and contributing to engineering solutions that improve efficiency and reliability. This is a hands-on role where you will work across multiple disciplines and learn from experienced engineers.


Key Responsibilities of the CAD Technician:

  • Carry out and document site surveys
  • Produce and update planning and layout drawings plus P&IDs
  • Manage drawing compliance and issue registers
  • Review and supervise drawings from contractors
  • Support project managers with contract documentation and construction deliverables


What We're Looking For

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D layouts and P&IDs
  • Experience with 3D modelling (SolidWorks, AutoCAD 3D or similar)
  • Knowledge of point cloud surveys and 3D data management
  • Degree or apprenticeship in engineering and experience in project environments
  • Strong MS Office skills

Location
