  • Manage complex planning enforcement cases independently.
  • Handle planning enforcement appeals and present cases.
  • Attend court for enforcement cases as needed.
  • Provide guidance to customer service advisors and caseworkers.
  • Keep updated with legislation, best practices, and policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, members, and stakeholders.
  • Update information systems accurately, following data protection rules.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and correspondence.
  • Participate in corporate or community projects, offering specialist advice.
  • Contribute to process reviews and policy development.
  • Work outside regular hours if necessary.
Person Specifications Must Have
  • Experience in planning enforcement.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to handle complex cases and provide sound advice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
Nice to Have
  • Degree in a relevant subject.
  • Experience with planning enforcement systems.
  • Experience in casework within planning enforcement.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Health law.
  • Experience in mentoring or coaching junior staff.
