This opportunity offers a senior solicitor the chance to take on a leadership position within a firm known for delivering high-quality, technically complex private client services to a diverse and affluent client base.The firm's Private Client team is particularly recognised for its work with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and international families, frequently advising on cross-border estate planning, trusts, and inheritance tax matters.The RoleThe successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing growth and strategic development of the Private Client offering in Guildford, while managing a caseload of complex matters and nurturing existing and new client relationships.Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on complex estate and succession planning, including the use of trusts and tax-efficient structures
  • Managing high-value probate and estate administration matters
  • Advising on the creation and administration of lifetime and post-death trusts
  • Working collaboratively with other departments on multi-disciplinary instructions
  • Playing a proactive role in business development and relationship management
  • Leading, mentoring and supporting the development of junior team members

Candidate Requirements

  • A senior Private Client Solicitor with ideally 8+ years' PQE
  • Extensive experience advising on high-value, complex and cross-border matters
  • Ideally STEP qualified or with a strong technical private client background
  • Demonstrated ability to win and retain business through relationship-led service
  • Strong leadership skills and a collaborative, client-centric mindset
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to practice development
