Job Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and support to maintain compliance in private sector housing.

  • Ensure adherence to regulations, legislation, and council policies.

  • Manage and resolve cases, offering specialist advice and services.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners for effective service delivery.

  • Update and maintain information systems accurately.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, including environmental issues.

  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve housing services.

  • Conduct inspections and manage applications, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.

Person Specifications
Must Have

  • Experience and knowledge in compliance or a related field.

  • Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good organizational and decision-making abilities.

  • Proficiency in using relevant software and systems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in housing inspections and enforcement.

  • Knowledge of multi-agency working.

  • Experience in dealing with vulnerable populations.

  • Ability to adapt to change and learn new systems quickly.

  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
