Academics is currently recruiting for a caring and committed 1-1 LSA (Learning Support Assistant) to work 1:1 with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school located in the Guildford area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a child's development and education in a nurturing school environment.



About the Role:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support for a child with ASD

  • Supporting learning both in and out of the classroom

  • Assisting with social communication, sensory regulation, and emotional needs

  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals

  • Creating a safe, structured, and positive environment to help the child thrive



The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children with ASD or additional needs (school-based or other settings)

  • Calm, patient, and adaptable with a nurturing approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Able to follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies

  • Ability to commute to Guildford
