Academics is currently recruiting for a caring and committed 1-1 LSA (Learning Support Assistant) to work 1:1 with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school located in the Guildford area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a child's development and education in a nurturing school environment.
About the Role:
Providing consistent 1:1 support for a child with ASD
Supporting learning both in and out of the classroom
Assisting with social communication, sensory regulation, and emotional needs
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
Creating a safe, structured, and positive environment to help the child thrive
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with ASD or additional needs (school-based or other settings)
Calm, patient, and adaptable with a nurturing approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Able to follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
- Ability to commute to Guildford
