We are supporting a Secondary SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) School based in Guildford, Surrey. Their mission is to create a positive and inclusive environment that empowers students with SEMH needs to thrive academically and personally.

Role Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join the team. This full-time, temp-perm position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of SEN students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs in a classroom setting.
  • Assist teachers in the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
  • Implement individualized learning plans and support strategies.

  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students, fostering trust and respect.

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH, ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), challenging behaviour, or those who have experienced trauma.
  • Strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
