A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and vibrant specialist school in Guildford. This is a full-time role, available to start as soon as possible.

The Role

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their personal best. Working closely with teachers and other staff, you will:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and group support in the classroom.
  • Assist with the implementation of personalised learning and behaviour plans.
  • Encourage independence, positive interaction, and engagement.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Able to use initiative while working effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexible, proactive, and resilient when facing challenges.
  • Experienced in working as an SEN Learning Support Assistant, or with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential).
  • Able to travel to Guildford.
