We are recruiting on behalf of a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy, who have contracts across the Southern region of the UK. They are seeking a qualified Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, who can maintain excellent levels of service to clients and can hit the ground running upon joining the company. The company are privately-owned and well-respected within the industry, and can offer fantastic further training opportunities. Locations of work include: Guildford, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, Burgess Hill, Southampton, Totton, Eastleigh, Romsey, Winchester, Alton, Bordon, Waterlooville, Havant, Chichester, Portsmouth, Gosport, Fareham, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Salisbury, Amesbury, Andover, Basingstoke, Poole, Warminster, Shaftesbury, Dorchester, Farnham.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must hold the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or RSPH equivalents)
- Fully conversant in HSG 264, HSG 248 and UKAS guidelines
- Must have worked for a UKAS accredited outfit
- Able to work to agreed deadlines
- Proficient in using IT software
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
The Role:
- Undertaking the full range of asbestos surveys, including: demolition, management and refurbishment
- Conducting re-inspection surveys
- Collecting samples from site for analysis
- 4 stage clearances and reassurance, background, personal, smoke and leak air monitoring
- Collating findings to produce detailed technical reports
- Attending a range of asbestos removal sites
- Ensuring to work in line with safety guidelines
- Meeting with clients to provide technical advice and updates
- Fostering healthy professional relationships with clients
