An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a diverse and fast-paced group of trading companies operating across multiple sectors. Based in Guisborough, this role offers flexibility in hours (full or part-time) and the chance to work in a dynamic finance team supporting multiple business entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Registering and matching purchase invoices in Sage
  • Resolving invoice queries efficiently
  • Entering payments into the company banking system
  • Performing monthly purchase statement reconciliations
  • Sending payment remittances to suppliers
  • Setting up new supplier and customer accounts in Sage
  • Maintaining organised and up-to-date filing systems
  • Processing weekly and monthly payrolls (PAYE and CIS subcontractors)
  • Calculating wages, deductions, and statutory payments
  • Submitting Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC
  • Managing pension contributions and auto-enrolment
  • Reconciling credit cards and overseeing the accounts inbox
  • Collating monthly payment runs and processing supplier payments
  • Conducting regular bank reconciliations
  • Supporting the Financial Lead with ad hoc duties as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Prior experience using Sage Accounts and Excel is highly desirable
  • Payroll experience including CIS is an advantage
