An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a diverse and fast-paced group of trading companies operating across multiple sectors. Based in Guisborough, this role offers flexibility in hours (full or part-time) and the chance to work in a dynamic finance team supporting multiple business entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Registering and matching purchase invoices in Sage
- Resolving invoice queries efficiently
- Entering payments into the company banking system
- Performing monthly purchase statement reconciliations
- Sending payment remittances to suppliers
- Setting up new supplier and customer accounts in Sage
- Maintaining organised and up-to-date filing systems
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls (PAYE and CIS subcontractors)
- Calculating wages, deductions, and statutory payments
- Submitting Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC
- Managing pension contributions and auto-enrolment
- Reconciling credit cards and overseeing the accounts inbox
- Collating monthly payment runs and processing supplier payments
- Conducting regular bank reconciliations
- Supporting the Financial Lead with ad hoc duties as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Prior experience using Sage Accounts and Excel is highly desirable
- Payroll experience including CIS is an advantage
