The RoleThe position will have direct access to the Head of Finance, and Finance Manager with both being two senior finance professionals that are very approachable, with a fantastic appetite to support, train and develop others providing two exceptional mentor figures.The vision of finance is to establish a highly performing, ultra efficient and extremely supportive team where all members are trained to overlap each other so regardless of peak periods, annual leave or absence there is capacity & capability to deliver on function objectives.The role requires an individual that is capable of supporting with all transactional finance and month-end close duties including:
- Posting Purchase Invoices
- Supplier Statements
- Issuing Sales Invoices
- Credit Control
- Aged Debtor and Creditor Analysis
- Bank Transactions and Reconciliations
- Intercompany Reconciliations
- Sales Statistics
- Ad-hoc support to Finance Manager
Candidate ProfileWe are keen to engage candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 24 months practical finance experience
- Proficient user of financial systems and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
On OfferThe role of Accounts Assistant just based in East Lothian, and easily commutable from Edinburgh, Tranent, Musselburgh, Prestonpans, Dunbar, Haddington. The position will offer:
- Up to £32,000 base salary
- Fantastic bonus scheme
- 30 days holiday including bank holidays
- 4% employer pension contribution
- Death in Service
- Extra time off for festive period
