Assembly Operative

We're delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of Wiring Assistants to join their growing team. This is a fantastic chance to kick-start your career in a supportive and dynamic working environment, with the potential for long-term progression.

Position: Wiring Assistant
Type: Ongoing Temporary Placement (with potential to go permanent)
Shift Pattern: 08:00 - 16:30
Hourly Rate: 12.21



About the Role

As a Wiring Assistant, you'll play a key role in the production process, working to high quality and safety standards. Daily tasks will include:

  • Pole and ironmongery assembly

  • Assembly and packing to SOP standards

  • Pick/pack and despatch duties

  • Basic quality control

  • Maintaining a clean and organised workspace



Key Responsibilities

  • Work safely and in line with best practices, using PPE appropriately

  • Take ownership of your work and follow SOPs/training

  • Record work times and report any variances

  • Suggest improvements to enhance safety and efficiency

  • Carry out quality checks and escalate any issues

  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards



What We're Looking For

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to follow procedures and rules

  • Confidence to ask for help or clarification

  • Team player with a supportive attitude

  • Proactive mindset and focus on improvement

  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied tasks

  • Experience with general hand tools

Desirable Skills:

  • Basic understanding of NAV

  • Ability to follow written SOPs effectively
