Mechanical Assembly Technician Responsibilities:
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components to build complex UHV systems in line with detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Carry out specialist UHV-compatible wiring and electrical testing procedures.
  • Maintain strict cleanliness standards in line with UHV cleanroom procedures.
  • Record pre-test data and perform QC evaluations throughout the assembly process.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by writing and updating manufacturing guides and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate departmental records including test data, serial numbers, and quality control logs for traceability.
Mechanical Assembly Technician Requirements:
  • Prior experience to assembly – Mechanical and/or Electrical
  • Resilient under pressure with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Comfortable working to tight production schedules and deadlines.
  • Basic IT skills (MS Office).
  • Self motivated, organised and punctual
Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or higher (HNC/HND/Degree preferred).
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience considered.
  • Previous experience in a high-tech cleanroom or engineering environment is advantageous.
