GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Hailsham. This inclusive setting supports pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech and language challenges.

About the Role:
You’ll work closely with class teachers and SEND professionals to provide consistent, one-to-one and small group support. The school promotes a nurturing, structured environment where pupils can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

Whether you're experienced in SEN support or looking to take your first step into the field, you’ll be part of a caring and collaborative team.

Responsibilities:
• Support pupils with EHCPs or additional learning needs, in and out of the classroom
• Help implement tailored strategies such as visual supports, sensory breaks, and emotional regulation tools
• Encourage communication, independence, and engagement with learning
• Provide personal care if needed (training provided)
• Contribute to pupil progress through observations and regular feedback

Requirements:
• Experience in schools or SEN settings is highly valued
• Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, or speech and language support preferred
• Positive, patient, and proactive attitude
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
