Want to be part of a finance team that truly influences business success?We are delighted to be supporting the search for a Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance function within a dynamic, growing organisation based in Halesowen. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal role where your technical expertise and commercial insight will be key to shaping financial operations and supporting decision-making across the business.As Financial Accountant, you'll be responsible for the delivery of accurate, insightful, and timely financial information, while helping to lead the charge in enhancing systems, automation, and reporting efficiency. This is a role that offers variety, visibility, and the chance to contribute to strategic projects including business acquisitions, reporting tool implementations, and intercompany reconciliations.This role comes with an annual salary of up to £55,000.00 depending on experience.Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing statutory financial statements for group and subsidiary entities
  • Supporting and leading elements of the external audit process
  • Managing intercompany reporting and interest reconciliations
  • Overseeing capital expenditure analysis and maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Supporting month-end reporting, focusing on balance sheet and cashflow analysis
  • Playing a key role in tax compliance and year-end corporation tax preparations
  • Providing technical accounting insight and staying ahead of emerging standards
  • Contributing to automation and reporting transformation through tools such as Power BI
  • Supporting wider finance initiatives including acquisitions and training non-finance stakeholders

Candidate Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with strong technical grounding
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence in handling complex data sets
  • Someone who communicates clearly and comfortably across all levels of a business
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or evolving environment
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a strong drive for accuracy and high-quality output
  • A proactive and collaborative team player with commercial awareness and adaptability
