Hales Group is recruiting for a Tool Room Supervisor on behalf of a leading independent manufacturer based in Halesworth, Suffolk. As a Tool Room Supervisor, you will assist in organising and supervising the manufacture and repair of high-quality tooling and parts within the tool room environment. Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the manufacture of required tooling.
  • Liaise with other departments to offer support and solutions.
  • Ensure a stable and reliable environment for toolmakers and apprentices.
  • Provide necessary reports for continual improvement.
  • Assist in developing new machining techniques, including training courses, supplier visits, and attending exhibitions.
  • Keep the team updated on current practices and techniques.
  • Provide training for new toolmakers, machinists, and apprentices.
 About You:
  • Experienced in toolmaking or CNC machining with recognised engineering qualifications.
  • Ability to supervise and support team members, exhibiting strong toolmaking skills, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of managing your own time, planning your workload, meeting set targets, and prioritizing effectively.
  • Proactive in fault diagnosis and problem-solving, using initiative.
  • Conscientious with a sharp eye for detail and pride in delivering excellence consistently.
