JHE & Partners are excited to be working with a brilliant business near Halifax as they look to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis, offering reduced hours. If you have recent experience within a similar finance role and you are looking for circa 20-22 hours per week, this could be the perfect opportunity.

The role, reporting to Finance Director, is key to the successful running of the finance department. The successful candidate will thrive in a busy, fast paced environment and enjoy the challenge of managing a varied workload.

Key duties will include:

  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Handling supplier queries
  • Preparing payment schedules
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Processing expenses
  • Allocating costs to specific projects
  • Supporting the wider project management team, providing project reports demonstrating the financial position of each project
  • Other ad hoc duties as required in a busy Finance Assistant role

Applicants must have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations. The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines is key as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
