Head Chef New High Street Pub Opening Halifax

There is no Live In, however, support may be given to help relocate

Opening a vibrant new pub in the heart of Halifax, were looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen with passion, precision, and creativity. Salary up to £40k plus Bonus Scheme

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing group with ambitions to deliver a menu that blends elevated pub classics with refined, innovative dishes. You must have a track record in designing and implementing menus

About You:

You're a proven leader from a strong gastro pub or high-end restaurant background, who thrives in a high-volume environment while never compromising on quality. You know how to craft exceptional food using fresh, seasonal UK ingredients, and youre excited about the opportunity to help shape the direction of a brand-new kitchen.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and inspire a small brigade to consistently execute dishes to the highest standard.
  • Bring creativity and attention to detail to every plate, from refined specials to reimagined classics.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, including rotas, cost control, GP, purchasing, and stock.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Take ownership of kitchen standards, performance, and continuous improvement.

What Were Looking For:

  • Previous Head Chef experience in a gastro pub or branded dining environment
  • A hands-on, dynamic leader who thrives on challenge and collaboration.
  • Passion for British food trends, local produce, and creative menu development.
  • Ability to manage kitchen costs and run a commercially successful operation.
  • Strong communicator, problem-solver, and motivator of people.
