Sales Account Manager

Our client is a long-standing, leading supplier and distributor of household products based in the Halifax area. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Sales Account Manager to support their longstanding customers within the retail and wholesale sector.

The Sales Account Manager will provide outbound and inbound support to current and new customers. The role will offer an 80/20 split, mainly focusing on managing existing accounts from retailers and commercial/trade customers, in addition to targeting new customers from an established database of customer contacts.

Sales Account Manager - Key Responsibilities

  • Contact potential and existing customers to discuss products or services.
  • Be sales driven and customer focused, happy to engage in conversation with customers to better understand their needs, and how our client can deliver against these.
  • Build rapport and gain an in depth understanding of target customers needs, developing trust and commitment, ultimately resulting in repeat orders.
  • Support the field sales team with new customer enquiries, organising calls and face-to-face meetings with customers, when required.
  • Keep CRM system up-to-date, detailing customer conversations and information.
  • Be detailed and documented when working to sales KPIs and activity targets.

Sales Account Manager - Requirements

  • Experience in a sales environment or customer service role, ideally, within an outbound sales environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets.
  • Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to customers.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident negotiator.
  • Be IT literate and comfortable using CRM and network telephone systems.

The Sales Account Manager position is offering £25,000 Basic Salary, with a realistic OTE of £29,000+ plus benefits, including 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (additional holiday buy back scheme). This is a full-time permanent, office based position, working Monday - Thursday 8:30am until 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am until 4:00pm.
