Futures are looking to appoint an electrical maintenance engineer on a permanent afternoons shift. Our client is looking for an electrical maintenance engineer to be the ‘go to person’ on site, responding to breakdowns that occur and adhering to the PPM schedule. You will have experience working within a fast paced environment and have the ability to take your hand to a variety of machines, electrically with some mechanical work. There will be elements of lone working. You'll be the only Maintenance Engineer on site after 6pm. 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Identify spare parts to carry out repairs and order through appropriate channels
  • Electrical Installations in accordance with Electricity at Work regulations (17th Edition Training is essential)
  • PLC Fault Finding ability. PLC programming is not expected but would advantageous
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with electrical fault finding
  • Maintain plant & equipment according to manufacturers instructions
  • Able to read, understand and diagnose electrical faults utilising Equipment Electrical Drawings

Skills and Qualifications

  • Training in or experience of General H&S Regulations, carrying out Risk Assessments and producing Method Statements
  • Must be experienced and self-motivated and able to identify concerns / defects  without direction.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an Electrician or Multi-skilled Engineer, in a busy manufacturing environment, after finishing a full electrical apprenticeship
