Overview

One of the areas well know manufacturers are looking to strengthen their team on site by bringing on an electrical expert to lead the electrical work on site. As the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will be part of the senior engineering team on site and have responsibility in overseeing electrical standards and compliance on site.

You will work closely with colleagues in engineering management, operations and production to maintain standards on site and to meet production targets.

With lots of investment happening on site, this is the perfect opportunity for a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive electrical performance on site across general maintenance, projects and CI.

 

Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineering Manager

  • Ensure electrical standards are adhered to in engineering and maintain best practice throughout the wider production team.
  • Electrical Duty Holder responsibility.
  • Oversee electrical involvement in capital projects.
  • Identify areas of potential improvement in electrical standards on site and implement positive change.
  • Upskill engineers and other employees relating to electrical engineering.
  • Be a key part of projects on site which could cover installations, relocations, process changes etc.

 

Requirements for the Electrical Engineering Manager

  • Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant electrical engineering subject
  • Have prior exposure to Automation.
  • Have knowledge of TPM and similar practices.
  • Previous record of upskilling and training employees.
  • Food / FMCG or manufacturing experience.
