Shift Maintenance Engineer

Location: Halifax

Salary: up to £45,000 plus benefits

Hours: 4 on 4 off - 12-hour shifts (day and nights)

Type: Permanent

Imperial Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a global manufacturer based in Elland who are looking to appoint a Shift Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis

Main Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing daily maintenance functions, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role involves asset control, facility maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. The engineer will work closely with the maintenance and production teams, as well as external contractors, to ensure smooth plant operations

Duties:

  • Performing both planned & reactive maintenance tasks as well as contributing towards continuous improvement activities
  • Reduce downtime by reacting to production breakdowns in a safe and timely manner
  • Completing the PPM schedule & closing down work orders on the CMMS
  • Working at height in our automated warehouse
  • Equipment Improvements.
  • Installation of New equipment
  • Compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
  • Complete daily & weekly compliant checks

Requirements:

  • Multi-skilled maintenance engineer - Electrical & Mechanical
  • Qualifications - Level 3 diploma in electrical installations or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing industry experience (Plastics preferred)
  • Must be confident at working at height
  • Reliable and good timekeeping.
  • Ideally 17th/18th Edition electrical regulations qualified.
  • Apprentice trained or equivalent.
  • MUST be willing to work on a continental shift basis.(4on 4 off)
