Production Manager – Chemical ManufacturingWest YorkshireMonday – Friday days£50,000 + car

Elevation Recruitment are supporting a market leading chemical manufacturer in their search for a Production Manager to join their facility in West Yorkshire. This is fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in industrial chemical processes and production management. You’ll play a key role in ensuring goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to exacting quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager include:

  • Plan, organise, and control daily production schedules
  • Determine staffing and material requirements to meet production targets
  • Oversee equipment usage, maintenance, and procurement recommendations
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Uphold and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
  • Monitor product quality and lead continuous process improvements
  • Prepare and maintain detailed production reports and KPIs
  • Manage production budgets and implement cost control measures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, distribution, and other departments
  • Lead and support team development through performance reviews and feedback
  • Assist in audits, investigations, and support management systems as required

We’re looking for Production Managers with the below skills & experience:

  • Previous experience in industrial chemical manufacturing
  • Strong background in leading production teams
  • Proven knowledge of manufacturing and production techniques
  • Familiarity with chemical engineering principles and equipment/tools
  • Attention to detail and process optimisation
  • Sound understanding of health & safety compliance standards
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
