Elevation Recruitment are supporting a market leading chemical manufacturer in their search for a Production Manager to join their facility in West Yorkshire. This is fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in industrial chemical processes and production management. You’ll play a key role in ensuring goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to exacting quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager include:
- Plan, organise, and control daily production schedules
- Determine staffing and material requirements to meet production targets
- Oversee equipment usage, maintenance, and procurement recommendations
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Uphold and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Monitor product quality and lead continuous process improvements
- Prepare and maintain detailed production reports and KPIs
- Manage production budgets and implement cost control measures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, distribution, and other departments
- Lead and support team development through performance reviews and feedback
- Assist in audits, investigations, and support management systems as required
We’re looking for Production Managers with the below skills & experience:
- Previous experience in industrial chemical manufacturing
- Strong background in leading production teams
- Proven knowledge of manufacturing and production techniques
- Familiarity with chemical engineering principles and equipment/tools
- Attention to detail and process optimisation
- Sound understanding of health & safety compliance standards
- Strong computer literacy
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Strong communication and influencing skills
