Mechanical Service Engineer

Mechanical Service Engineer required for a company that installs, commissions and repairs CNC and Manual machine tools based in Halifax. The ideal candidate will be based locally and be a versatile service engineer with a mechanical bias background.

• Planned Maintenance activities on CNC/Manual machine tools
• Reactive Maintenance activities on CNC/Manual machine tools
• Fault finding and repairs of machine at customers premises.
• Installation and commissioning of machinery.
• Ordering parts.
• Discuss and relay machine faults with the manager if required.
• Answer customer queries on machines.

• Prior experience in Field Service and/or Machine Tool service.
• Mechanically bias, ideally holding an NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, CNC controls
• Good knowledge of fault finding, mechanical/electrical repair.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout the week, and be prepared to stay overnight if required.
• Weekend work is rare but possible.
• Full UK driving license - preferably clean.
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.

• Salary- Circa £40,000 (dependent on skillset & experience)
