Calderdale Council is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join their Multi-Agency Screening Team (MAST) at 40 per hour.
The MAST acts as the single front door for all children's safeguarding and support enquiries, including:
- Safeguarding referrals and early help requests
- Disability and OT referrals
- Domestic abuse notifications (DRAMM, MARAC)
- Police safeguarding referrals
All incoming cases are screened and decisions made within 24 hours to ensure children are safeguarded promptly.
The Practice Manager plays a key role in overseeing the screening process, supervising social workers, chairing strategy meetings, and approving outcomes.
Location: Calderdale (mainly office-based with limited home working)
Contract: 12 weeks (covering permanent recruitment)
Pay Rate: 40 per hour

Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
