We are seeking an SEN Teacher who can create a positive and engaging learning environment that supports every child to achieve their full potential - both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher
- Plan, deliver and adapt high-quality lessons tailored to individual EHCPs.
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to promote progress and well-being.
- Assess and monitor students' development, providing detailed feedback and reports.
Requirements of an SEN Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) essential.
- Experience working with pupils with SEN (in mainstream or specialist settings).
- Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and behaviour management strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, flexible, and compassionate approach to teaching
