Mechanical Assembler - Gosfield, Essex - 12.65 - 15.50 (DOE) - Temp to Perm
A specialist manufacturing company in Gosfield is seeking a Mechanical assembler to join their growing team. You'll be working closely with a small, skilled group of fitters, responsible for taking a painted trailer structure through to a fully operational car transporter.
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am - 1:30pm
What you'll be doing:
- Fitting hydraulic, pneumatic, and brake systems
- Installing moving vehicle decks into new-build car transporters
- Carrying out electrical installations
- Reading and interpreting drawings and schematics
- Using hand tools for mechanical assembly and repair
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in vehicle/trailer fitment or automotive is preferred (training provided)
- Strong mechanical background and aptitude
- Proficiency in mechanical assembly and repair techniques
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrics
- Confident in reading technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
