Technical Co-ordinator/Lead

We are seeking a Technical Co-ordinator with 4 to 5 years of experience in a Technical or Quality role to take on the total responsibility of our technical department. This role is ideal for a candidate who has experience managing or being involved in passing a SALSA audit. The Technical Co-ordinator will work independently, reporting directly to the directors, and will collaborate closely with staff to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the entire technical department, ensuring all processes and systems are efficient and up to date.
  • Manage and conduct SALSA audits, ensuring compliance and maintaining high standards.
  • Work independently while reporting directly to the directors.
  • Collaborate with bakery staff to implement technical and quality standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate system performance, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide technical support and training to bakery staff to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Technical or Quality role, preferably within the food industry.
  • Proven experience managing or being involved in SALSA audits.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and take full responsibility for the technical department.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with all levels of staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
