Welder Fabricator - Up to 16ph - Overtime x1.5 - Neat Halstead

We are working with the UK's leading manufacturer of premier car transporters, at a purpose-built, eco-powered facility in Gosfield, near Braintree in Essex. We're on the lookout for a skilled or developing Welder/Fabricators to join their dedicated team.

The Role:

As a Welder/Fabricator, you'll be an integral part of the body-build team, working independently or in pairs under the guidance of the Welding/Fabrication Supervisor. You'll fabricate and MIG weld key structures of our industry-leading car transporters.

The hours of work are 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday an 7.30am to 1.30pm on Fridays.

What We're Looking For:

  • MIG welding experience (training can be provided for the right candidate)
  • Ability to work from technical drawings (desirable)
  • Self-motivated with good organisational and time management skills
  • Strong team player with a can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship

Key Responsibilities:

  • MIG welding of materials (5mm+), including positional welding
  • Fabrication of key components for the body-build
  • Reading and interpreting CAD drawings
  • Maintaining welding equipment and PPE
  • Working safely in line with company HSEQ policies
  • Supporting production targets by working efficiently and to standard

This is a permanent role subject to you passing a 13 week probation.
