Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of the profit and loss account (P&L), balance sheet, and providing strategic financial insight through business partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure timely month-end close processes and deliverables.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure integrity of financial information.
  • Provide commentary and insight on financial performance to senior management.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Assist in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against budget and forecasts.
  • Support cost control initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Business Partnering
  • Act as a key finance liaison for business units, supporting operational managers with financial insight and advice.
  • Help non-finance stakeholders understand financial data and the impact of their decisions on business performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased financial efficiency.
  • Compliance & Controls

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and financial reporting.
  • Experience in business partnering and providing financial insights to non-finance teams.
  • Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
