Sonic Summary

Our client is seeking an SMT operator for their electronics business located near Southampton.
The role requires a working knowledge of SMT, good communication skills, and a standard education.
Candidates should not be color blind and must be PC literate, with responsibilities including equipment maintenance and quality assurance tasks.
The position offers a salary between £13.00 and £16.00 per hour, depending on experience.
This is a temp-to-perm role with working hours from Monday to Wednesday, 06:00 to 16:00, and Thursday from 06:00 to 15:30.

Our client is currently looking for an SMT operator to work within their growing electronics business near Southampton.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out all activities within your role to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Support the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly line/equipment, maintenance, equipment/software troubleshooting, and debugging of new and existing production assembly programs. If you can programme or would like to learn, please let me know!
Perform failure analysis and root cause analysis of defects and field returns.
Conduct inspections, corrective and preventive actions, and other quality assurance-related tasks to ensure that the SMT line produces high-quality products.
Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and performance.
