Electronic Engineer

Location: GlasgowSalary: £55,000+ (Dependent on experience)

The Role:

We're seeking a hands-on Electronics Engineer with a strong electronic engineering background to join our amazing clients team. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to both strategic planning and detailed design work.

Electronic Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with system architects, mechanical & control engineers, EMI/magnetic designers, PCB layout, and purchasing teams.
  • Simulate switching converters using various software tools.
  • Prepare, review, and approve schematic & magnetic designs, power loss calculations, parts lists, and support PCB layout.

Electronic Engineer Experience:

You should have:

  • Expertise in power electronics design, semiconductor devices, magnetics, and control theory.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, data loggers, AC/DC power sources, electronic loads.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, MRP systems, schematic capture tools.
  • Experience with LLC resonant converters, phase-shift converters, and active power factor correction (PFC).

Qualifications/Benefits:

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in an electronics engineering role.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent documentation and teamwork abilities.
