Production Operator, East Kilbride, £25,000 + overtime + bonus
Are you confident working with your hands and have a good eye for detail? We're recruiting for an Production Operator to join a growing manufacturer in East Kilbride. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business at the heart of global technology manufacturing.
What you'll be doing:
- Assembling small components as part of a specialised product used in high-tech industries
- Working in a cleanroom environment with a steady and methodical approach
- Following clear work instructions to ensure a high standard of accuracy
- Using hand tools such as tweezers, small cutters, and (if trained) soldering equipment
- Inspecting parts during assembly to maintain quality and consistency
- Supporting continuous improvement by suggesting ways to streamline or enhance processes
- Meeting production targets as part of a small, focused team
- Maintaining a tidy and safe workspace in line with health and safety practices
What we're looking for:
- Some experience in hands-on assembly or production work
- Steady hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Good team spirit with the ability to work independently when needed
- Previous experience with component or fine work is an advantage (but not essential)
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and careful work style
What's you can expect:
- £25,000 salary, plus overtime and time off in lieu
- 4 day working week - enjoy a long weekend, every weekend
- Monday - Wednesday, 07:00 until 17:15
- Thursday, 07:00 until 16:45
- Twice-yearly bonus scheme
