Due to business growth, our manufacturing client is looking to recruit an Inventory and Dispatch Lead.

Working as part of the Supply Chain, the Inventory and Dispatch Lead will be solely responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Stores Department. This is a hands-on role and the Inventory and Dispatch Lead will be solely responsible for goods in and dispatch and providing production with all raw materials and packaging.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Unloading and storing of all goods in deliveries
  • Booking in of all goods and maintaining inventory locations in the ERP Systems
  • Kitting of materials to support the production plan
  • Packing finished goods and preparing pallets for shipments
  • Preparing all the paperwork and labels required for shipping and dispatch
  • Participate in Lean manufacturing an 6Sigma projects
  • Maintain H&S and housekeeping within the Stores

Knowledge and experience required for the role:

  • Experience of working in Stores & Inventory management within a production/manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of dispatch, preparing shipping paperwork and dealing with freight forwarders
  • Understanding of ERP Systems
  • Strong work ethic and can be trusted to work autonomously
  • Team player who can build strong working relationships with colleagues
  • Thrives working in a busy environment
  • Passion for improving processes and continuous improvement
  • Enjoys mentoring colleagues
