Mechanical Engineer/ Fitter / Technician
Due to continued investment, our client a successful food manufacture are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/ Fitter. You will be responsible for all reactive and planned (PPM) maintenance within a busy food manufacturing site, supporting hygiene and engineering teams.
Role
- Complete all Tasks to the highest standard ensuring, quality, safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Work as part of a team, to meet key deadlines and kpi's
- Removal of machinery components
- Inspect and check all parts whilst covers are removed and report any damage or failed parts (bearings corroded/seized, guides worn/damaged, any damage to machinery, etc).
Skills
- A basic knowledge of mechanical engineering covering greasing and basic maintenance
- Ability to spot faults and or damage to machinery.
- Experience of working in a fast-moving FMCG / Food Manufacturingindustry.
- Team player
- Good English skills written and spoken
- Experience in a fast paced production / manufacturing environment

Role
