This is an outstanding career opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager wishing to progress to Senior Management or for an established Senior Project Manager looking for a fresh challenge. PPM is a versatile and professional project management company delivering a range of undertakings from short-term, one-off projects to long-term management service agreements and management consultancy support across the UK.
This role involves responsibility for managing and overseeing the delivery of Planned Capital Projects over a national portfolio of leisure facilities. Management of the delivery and construction of new build leisure facilities, support and line management responsibilities of a team of Project Managers. Additionally provide support and professional building consultancy services to other Parkwood Group companies.
The Opportunity
The Senior Project Manager will be required to oversee all elements of the project lifecycle, receive and implement instructions from Divisional Directors and perform the following duties;
  • Allocate Project Managers and establish resourcing arrangements including the appointment of a professional team (where required)
  • Ensure the completion of building surveys and providing advice on design, construction, repair, and refurbishment
  • Establish the project brief, development of designs and specifications for works, undertake tendering processes, and appointment of designers and contractors
  • To design and oversee works using recognised building contracts and to current technical standards
  • Complete project inspections at key stages
  • Management of project finances, oversee applications for payments and manage project budgets
  • Risk management
  • Lifecycle management and facilitation
  • Refurbishment Projects typically range from 10k - 750K.
  • New build construction works typically range from 15m - 30m
  • Produce reports for distribution to Group Directors
The Individual
Dynamic, forward thinking individual with a determination to make a difference within the Leisure Sector.
Should have a related Built Environment Degree level (or equivalent) qualification and demonstrable related experience. RICS/CIOB accreditation is preferred but not essential.
Experience within PFI/PPP project arrangements is beneficial.
