Our client, a distinguished company within the water sector, is currently seeking a General Foreman to oversee a pivotal project in Hampton. This contract role focuses on non-infrastructure developments, including a major 4.2 million reservoir refurbishment and a substantial 400 million water treatment works project for Thames Water.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and managing daily operations on-site to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly regarding confined spaces
- Coordinating with various stakeholders to streamline project phases
- Implementing strategies and solutions to address any on-site issues
- Maintaining accurate records and reports of site activities and progress
- Leading site meetings and providing clear communication to teams
- Ensuring quality control and adherence to project specifications
- Overseeing material and resource management
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil construction, specifically within the water sector
- Hold an SMSTS or SSSTS certification
- ONC or HNC in construction or a related field
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to confined spaces
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple aspects of a construction project simultaneously
- Analytical skills to solve complex on-site problems efficiently
