Procurement Officer

Location: Hampton, this is an office based role!

Type: Full-Time Salary: £35,000 - £36,000 plus 25 days holiday plus BH, flexible working, bonus scheme, pension, share scheme and parking.

Hours: 8am to 4.30pm Mon - Tues, 8am to 4pm Wed - Fri (flexible working options)

Start Date: Asap, Ideally

Our client, a dynamic organisation, is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join their vibrant team! If you have strong experience in procurement and a passion for supplier management, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

As a Procurement Officer, you'll be at the forefront of securing the best goods and services for the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Procurement & Supplier Management: Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Contract Negotiation: Work your magic by negotiating contracts and pricing to secure the best deals.
  • Purchase Orders: Create and process purchase orders, adhering to budget guidelines and policies.
  • Cost Control & Data Analysis: utilise your advanced MS Excel skills to analyse procurement data, track costs, and optimise purchasing decisions.
  • Vendor Performance: Monitor and assess supplier performance, making adjustments as needed
  • Market Research: Stay ahead of industry trends and identify potential suppliers to enhance procurement strategies.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with the planning team to manage stock levels effectively.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities align with laws and company policies.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and provide insightful reports

Who You Are: We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management or equivalent
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • An analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
  • Certification in Procurement (CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the INFOR M3 ERP system is an advantage.
  • Fluency in Italian and/or German is a bonus!
