We are seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within our warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a commitment to safety and efficiency in all operations. Monday - Friday 6am-2pm / 2pm-12am Monday-Thursday
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling and storage
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using warehouse management systems
- Conduct regular inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments
- Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient materials handling and workflow
Skills
- Proficient in operating forklifts with a valid forklift license
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance
- Experience in warehouse operations with a focus on shipping and receiving
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory management
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Capability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and best practices
