Industrious Recruitment have an oppitunity for a machine operator/ production worker to work withing a CNC milling department on a temp - perm basis.

The role will be Monday-Thursday 6am- 4.30pm.

Summary of the Role

Working to strict safety and quality requirements, help to achieve production goals in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations, optimising efficiency and maintaining operational excellence by performing various operations within the CNC mills department.

Job Role & Responsibilities

  • Operating a wide range of CNC Mills as trained.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Loading and unloading machines efficiently and safely.
  • Monitoring machine performance and reporting any faults.
  • Completing all safety checks prior to operating CNC machines and recording appropriately.
  • Ensuring quality checks are carried out at appropriate intervals and reporting any issues or concerns.
  • Ability to correctly use and read a range of quality checking equipment.
  • Ability to perform tool / tip changes as trained.
  • Competent in making offset adjustments.
  • Emptying machine of swarf in a safe manner and requesting swarf bins be emptied when full.
  • Returning any quality checking equipment once a job has finished.
  • General housekeeping, ensuring work area is free from swarf and oils.
  • When applicable, deburr machined parts in a safe manner.
  • Working in a safe manner at all times.
  • Complying with Health, Safety and Environmental standards as well as statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • When reasonably requested, to provide support to other departments to meet the needs of the business.
