Futures are looking to appoint a CNC Team Leader for a high-precision manufacturer based in Leeds our client supply to a number of highly regulated industries such as aerospace, medical, defence, and nuclear. The successful CNC Team Leader will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining 3 to 5 axis CNC machines to manufacture high-spec components. The ideal candidate will have experience working within regulated environments and demonstrate strong attention to detail, particularly in quality control and documentation practices.
CNC Team Leader Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate 3 to 5 axis CNC milling or turning machines to produce precision-engineered parts
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
• Adjust machine settings and tooling as needed to optimize performance and quality
• Conduct in-process inspection and ensure all components meet strict quality standards
• Maintain documentation for traceability, including job cards, inspection reports, and quality records
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal procedures
CNC Team Leader Requirements:
• Proven experience operating 3 to 5 axis CNC machines in a highly regulated industry (e.g. aerospace, medical, defence)
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T principles
• Familiarity with quality control procedures, measurement tools, and inspection techniques
• Experience with documentation and traceability systems is highly advantageous
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
