Our client is a popular gastro pub with an excellent reputation, set out the outskirts of Harlow. They are looking for an enthusiasticHead Chef tocome on board and lead their small brigade. This busy" foodie" pub prides itself on producing everything in house, using only the freshest local produce. The venue has a 80 cover restaurant, function room and outside seating for 50 guests and 10 bedrooms.
As the successful Head Chef you will be responsible for all menu planning, stock taking and training. You must be passionate about your role and be willing to give 110%. The ideal Head Chef will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working at Head Chef level in a fresh food establishment; you will be responsible for high levels of hygiene control and health and safety throughout the department; you will be responsible for staff development and ensuring high levels of catering service and you will be reporting directly to the owners. You will have full autonomy over the menu and must be highly passionate, excellent food cost controls and the ability to continually raise standards.
